01.01.2022 Tough times again for our Melbourne friends and family....due to the 5 day Melbourne lock down and a last minute, week long cancelled booking, we now have a beach house available this weekend .....please share this with Queensland family and friends who might be looking for a week or weekend away. Good luck and stay safe everyone. Below is the Queensland health advise... BREAKING: Queensland borders will close to Greater Melbourne from 1am on Saturday, 13 February following ...the Victorian Government’s announcement of a 5-day lockdown for all of Victoria. Anyone who enters Queensland and has been in the 36 local government areas in Greater Melbourne on or since 9 February will be directed to quarantine in government-arranged accommodation for 14 days. Anyone who has been to any of the listed venues in Greater Melbourne should come forward, get tested, follow the advice of Victoria to quarantine for 14 days, and call 13 HEALTH. This includes anyone who arrived in Queensland from Melbourne on Tuesday, 9 February and who travelled through Terminal 4 (Jetstar) at Melbourne Airport. Queensland Health is currently contacting these people. This newest virus outbreak in Greater Melbourne seems to be transmitting quickly and Victoria has listed up to 30 locations where a positive COVID-19 case has visited while potentially infectious. Anyone who has been in Greater Melbourne on or since 5 February, but hasn’t been to one of the affected venues, should come forward for testing and isolate until you receive a negative result. Queenslanders planning travel should reconsider the need to travel to Victoria.
