14.01.2022 Hi everybody. We are keen to get some state based working groups happening to enable Lucys Project to keep moving forward. It will help us to get to know peopl...e in our area and to work out how to best collaborate with each other. July 1st has been nominated as a fitting mid year date to get some meet ups occurring. The following members have put their hands up to organise a lunch or similar around this date - Kristin Diemer for Victoria, Ing Reils for NSW, Lisa Craig for WA and Jennifer Howard for SA . No volunteers as yet for QLD or TAS so please let us know if youd be interested in volunteering to arrange a get together in these states. Please contact the individuals named above if you are interested in attending their meet ups and feel free to comment below about your thoughts, suggestions, any questions etc. See more

10.01.2022 Our service is the original and best service in Adelaide right now, we foster your animals for you in a private loving foster home so you can escape violence, ...we have a case management service with our sister program The Rewind Effect, We have our Vet connections and support services through our other sister program Paws & Pals But our services are not enough, its heartbreaking hearing clients on the other end of the phone in a motel, isolated feeling alone, scared, the feeling like their world has been turned upside down, the unknown feeling, feeling lost with little or no hope of whats left of their future, and the one thing in their life that is always there, comforts them in despair, an ear to listen to their darkest secrets, sorrows, pain and worries, gives them unconditional love, a reason to smile, a reason to hold on is separated from them at no fault of their own. They are safe and yes thats the main thing, but someone who is going through trauma should not have to be seperated from their furry friends, their babies, their one stable thing in life! They need to feel safe together and heal together. Our biggest and main goal is to have safe housing that is inclusive of pets because pets are family too! If you believe in our cause, talk about us, share us, volunteer for us, donate your time, services or donate money if you can. Lets do this and really keep people and pets together! #DV #domesticviolence #adelaide #RSPCA #SAFEKENNELS #PETSAREFAMILYTOO #PETSMATTER See more

08.01.2022 Researchers suspect parents are yelling more. Parents have been conditioned to avoid spanking, so they vent their anger and frustration by shouting instead. Three out of four parents yell, scream or shout at their children or teens about once a month, on average, for misbehaving or making them angry, research shows. Increasingly, therapists and parenting experts are homing in on how it hurts a child, as well as how to stop it. https://www.wsj.com//talking-to-your-child-after-you-yell-
