22.01.2022 Paul McCarthy "Waiting For Someone Like You" Solo Performance Paul has been a significant and transformative presence in my life and the lives of many others. We have been working together on recordings and videos of both his solo and band performances/songs for close to 5 years. There are multiple live recordings, videos and studio recordings including a heap of songs he recorded solo in my studio and recent pre-production tracking for the next album with his band "Circus". ...During a recent visit with Paul in hospital I asked him what he'd like done with this work. His response was, "Get it all out there". I've been in consultation with his bandmates in Circus who intend to continue with the album we started recording in August this year. As for the solo material, some friends and I will be releasing a solo album on Paul's behalf and at our own expense in coming months. It's the least we can do for a person who has enriched our lives in so many ways. All proceeds will go to his family and nominated collaborators as per his APRA/AMCOS registration.
