20.01.2022 Quick update for all those that love and miss our beautiful spot in Tas. We had to close the business as per Government Covid restrictions , but it’s not closed for good yah. When restrictions ease we will re open - however we are looking into the option of long term rentals - We have 1 at the moment - welcome Sandra ... And just to make it harder the private hospitals have shut surgery so Anna has been ‘out of work’ for several months And final straw her horticulture course has been shifted to on- line But we have been working hard in the garden - revamping the citrus orchard And pruning and tidying Attached some photos of our 17 chickens and ducks and their respective eggs And one of our grand baby chickens A little ring tail possum that came to visit Of course Swiss Our new weather station - and if anyone is interested you can log on and look at the weather at The River House at any time ( we may add that to our web site ). We have a native strawberry tree that is fruiting - they are sweet but a bit more gritty than a normal strawberry And of course Swiss Hope everyone is safe and well Michael and Anna
16.01.2022 The River House **UPDATE** Summer 19/20 We have been busy at The River House - we usually are! We had a lovely Christmas with Michael and Anna both of a decision NOT to do any housework or yard work . Anna and Michael attended the Agrarian Kitchen in New Norfolk and learnt some wonderful gardening and cooking tips - A BIG thanks The Agrarian Kitchen ... . We managed a sneaky getaway to Maria Island - wombats, kangaroos, cape baron geese, lovely hikes and a wild Tassie Devil called Axel . We have increased our flock of fowl from 6 to 23 !!! . We are currently harvesting garlic, potato, zucchini, corn, rocket and a handful of raspberries from our kitchen garden . We have installed a dome over the pool for all year all weather swimming. It is currently 32 degrees in the water. . We have engaged a management company to assist with our business. They have installed a "book now" button on our website... Welcome Moxxi Property - you may chat with Alyssa via email ... or even spot our lovely cleaning ladies, Lisa and Olivia Unfortunately we are not doing Anna's amazing breakfasts anymore... But for friends and family we can negotiate Same for the fantastic cheese platters.... See you soon x
