25.01.2022 Sunday Funday - early morning rise to get to the Farm Gate markets to grab some goodies. Pumpkin carrots eggs donuts calamari flathead sausages meat asparagus green snow peas and bread . Returned home to have a headache so best way to shrug it off?? Another coffee then off for a long walk skateboard and unicycle (minus 1 wheel) with the family at Montrose. Headache has eased returned to make a delicious dinner for my family. Feeling so grateful for this day. What did you do today?

17.01.2022 On Friday afternoon we celebrated Diwali at Alice’s school with her class and their families. This Celebration was meant to occur in March however the world had other plans. Today we are thankful we could all come together to celebrate. I made Julab Jamuns - Indian Donuts. You can definitely double the recipe for making the donuts. No need to double the syrup. It was a wonderful experience shared by all. Diwali is the five-day festival of lights, celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world. Diwali, which for some also coincides with harvest and new year celebrations, is a festival of new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil, and light over darkness.

14.01.2022 We love the ocean so much. Last weekend we ventured to South Arm - Opossum Beach for a swim and play. It was great so we went back again today. This time we came prepared with paddle board and surf boards to play on. Even took some recycle ice cream containers to build sand castle and little sand home for crabs we found under the rocks . Such a wonderful time, cost us nothing much just petrol and a cheeky ice cream for the drive home. Before a delicious dinner . Calamari, fish and veggies . Oh and last night the kids helped to make build your own Cesar Salad it was a winner for all of us. Followed by Rhubarb and Apple crumble, my own recipe. I feel so fortunate for this life we have.

12.01.2022 Love Learning Kastu Chicken - Low Carb Cookbook from Cookidoo. Instead of panko crumbs I used almond flakes, pork crackle, salt, pepper and curry powder. I must say I wasn’t sure at first when I saw the recipe however I was willing to try it out. I’m completely converted. Each week I will be having this version from now on. I had wombock - Chinese cabbage instead of rice.

10.01.2022 On Sunday we hosted a Early Christmas Lunch. Having so many options to choose from using Cookidoo I actually found the chicken recipe by using the filter tab to look up UK and American recipes. Then I made my own collection. Giving me inspiration for the up and coming celebrations. We decided to make a chicken stuffed with prunes and orange with a salt rub! and this new delicious crunchy veggies with a lemon feta dressing so fresh. No leftovers........at all. Want more ideas ? 09.01.2022 Well that’s another 5 days done I use my Thermomix more than twice a day. How? Why? When?... For me it’s all about eating fresh food. Using ingredients locally sourced with less packaging and more flavour. Caring for my family by making meals, snacks, drinks and so much more. I cater to our intolerances, allergies and dislikes. 03.01.2022 Wish you were here to smell this ...... oh so good. This morning we ran out of strawberry jam. Ben wasn’t impressed as I bought him a fresh croissant from The bakery. So today I thought I’d better hop to and make some jam. I was thrilled to see there is now a sugar free strawberry jam available on Cookidoo. Dotti has decided to join me with 25 days sugar free.
