23.01.2022 Vegetable stock paste is a staple ingredient which will save you $$$ lets see exactly how much.... It cost me less than $5 to make 800g of stock paste plus 1 litre of stock liquid! 1 tablespoon of stock paste plus 500g of water will make 500g of stock liquid. This 800g will make 20 litres of stock liquid! ... Vegetable stock liquid is $4 for 1 litre at woolworths! Just making 1 batch of this stock paste will save you $80 and it will last 6 months in your fridge! I use vegetable stock paste for any recipe that requires stock, even if it asks for meat or chicken ect. For such an "expensive" machine it sure does save you ALOT of money! 02.01.2022 So today I did something a little different and tried out a comparison to a well known delivery food company. I did my meal planning yesterday and I would normally do a click and collect but wanted the food straight away. I decided on the below 5 meals for dinners. The 2 free days will be leftover nights and lunches will also be leftovers as most of these meals are 6 portions. So a classic box with this company to feed 4 people for 5 meals is RRP $189.95 and these are design...ed to only feed the 4 people and have no leftovers. I did my shopping this morning and it came to $78 total, now this shop didn't include rice, flour, sugar, salt, pepper (which are all staple pantry items) but even if I add $20 max to include these items to my shop it still comes to almost half the cost of these boxes. I also get to come home to my Thermomix for her to do all the hard work for me! #thermomix #mealplanning #savingmoney #savingtime
