25.01.2022 Carrot Cake! This one is not a Thermomix Recipie, but super easy to whip up in it. Its a recipie I used to make back in the days before a Thermomix. Not the brightest time if my life in the cooking world! Its a completely healthy version of the traditional. Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Refined Sugar Free, and made with ordinary ingredients that any cook will have in their pantry. Wuth this one you have the option of eating it raw or baking it. Both are fantastic, but its ser...iously droolworthy when it is fresh out if the oven. I love smothering a slice in butter! There is a Cashew Cream frosting, but when I bake it, it never gets the chance to cool before its devoured. Delicious! 23.01.2022 Mushroom Stroganoff ! Something Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Sugar Free ++++ The list keeps getting longer. Thank God I have a Thermomix!! I was going to have it beautifully presented in a lovely dish for this photo - but (like almost always) I turn around and its gone!! Or else - I've just finished contributing to the devouring and - Hat! I forgot the photo!! At least in this case, there was still a tweency bit left. This Mushroom Stroganoff is delicious! It ...has all the hearty, robust flavour of the traditional beef variety, yet is perfect for all those who have made the desicion to cut out meat from their diet or have been forced to cut it out for health reasons. 22.01.2022 **Spring is in the Air** Even my daffodils agree And while we are happily agreeing that we need more rain, I don't think any of us are sad to feel the suns beautiful warm rays! With no nip in the air, I've changed into shorts and a tee-shirt, and am actually craving salad. Bring on Summer!!! Look no further than our crunchy, delicious beetroot salad! This is a nutrient PACKED salad, and only takes 6 seconds to chop! **SIX SECONDS!!!** (Yes, you did read that right)... These are only 'some' of the benifits of eating beetroot: Lowered blood pressure Stamina Muscle power Slowed demetia Healthy weight Cancer prevention Potassium With other minerals to boot! !! 18.01.2022 How exciting!!! It's something I never dreamed of, but I can see how it would help. I could have made dessert and my salad in the time it took me to cook my stroganoff last night if I'd had this little buddy with me!
18.01.2022 **A new breakthrough!!** Super fast Vegetarian Spinach and Cheese Slice I've been cooking a lot of new dishes in my Thermomix over the last week - many of them vegetarian for our new house-mate / helper. Tonight I needed a something healthy, protein packed, and super easy. This slice ticks all the boxes! With 7 eggs, 250g cheese and 250g silverbeet, the bulk of it comes together in no time at all with the help of your Thermie! Add in some fresh basil, ground nutmeg, garlic... powder, oregano and tomato slices on top, and its ready to slip into the oven for 30 - 40 minutes. This recipe is not on Cookidoo, but rather something I made up myself after looking at several other recipies and seeing what needed using out of our garden and fridge. 13.01.2022 Cornbread! This is the first time I have made this recipie, and everyone loved it!! Infact they loved it so much I have another baking in the oven at this moment. It only takes 10 minutes to whip up the batter in your Thermomix, and then just pop it into your oven to bake. I used the recipie from our Thermomix Quirky Cooking cook book by Jo Whitton. I LOVE her book!! I'm not entirely sure what shape corn bread traditionally is, but Jo suggested a 20cm round cake tin or a 2...0cm iron skillet. This 2nd one that is baking I decided to bake in normal bread tin which has made it taller, but it is taking way longer to cook. In future I'll just do the round shape. It has a nice crunchy crust - and definitely a wholemeal texture. If you prefer it finer - just grind your corn for an extra minute. But I like the texture it has - definitely adds to the experience Let me know what you guys think - and if you have any tips to add - I'd love to hear them!! See more
