23.01.2022 Another good news story! Here are a few photos of Wild Ryes Bakery and the Roastery who are receiving a single use plastic sticker as they qualify because all of their takeaway products can be recycled through the FOGO system. Fantastic achievement! Many shops in Pambula village have been awarded these stickers and the Social Justice Advocates of the far south coast continue to support and encourage other Pambula businesses to become a business that does not use single use... plastics. The 5 single use plastics the group are targeting are takeaway coffee cups and lids, plastic cutlery, shopping bags, straws and take away plastic containers. SUPP also received a waste grant from BVS and they will purchase and install a water filling station in the Pambula village to encourage people to fill up their own water and use the bubbler then purchase plastic water bottles that are not recyclable and end up in landfill or in our waterways and ocean!
