23.01.2022 What a difference a bit of rain makes! It looked so desolate during January's fires which were within 20 km in all directions! Luckily nature intervened a d we are here to tell the tale. This week the RFS officially announced that all the NSW fires are out

23.01.2022 This tree has exploded with blossom and the bees are loving it. There are both European and native bees a plenty.

22.01.2022 It’s a little bit foggy around the Rocks this morning, damp and cold.

14.01.2022 Practicing our social distancing on a golden autumn morning

11.01.2022 We have had a long dry spell. The creek has stopped flowing and as our primary water source, we will have to consider buying in water. Our secondary water source is not looking promising as rain is not forecast any time soon. We are still hand feeding the horses as there is nothing on the ground for them. Fingers crossed fires don't come this way #LifeinruralAustralia

10.01.2022 A bright autumn Anzac Day morning at The Rocks. Our solemn dawn interrupted by naughty horses escaping down the driveway

09.01.2022 Smokey and Bandit always enjoy their dinner. Smokey, as usual, has been rolling in the mud

08.01.2022 After the rain at the Rocks.

08.01.2022 Windy a d smokey this morning. Now a change in wind direction, a cool change, a few drops of rain and the smoke has dropped down on us. Strong smell of smoke and a lot of fine ash. With wind change, we are fairly safe, but we are well prepared if needed. I think we will be ok.

06.01.2022 Easter weekend isolation at the Rocks. The brief green of our late summer rain has been sucked away by autumn winds and we are back to brown. Smoky and Bandit's only priority is munching, Melvin and Lucy snooze whenever they can( all the time) and we are just subject to their whims.
