Check out this awesome review of her work When Alicia asked to use one of my Westies to handstrip in the Melbourne Mastergroom comp I will admit it wasnt an easy decision. These are my show dogs, it would mean time out of the ring whilst letting the coat grow, then having someone else get them back into the right shape all with hand stripping.... I agreed to let Alicia use Spike (Supreme Ch Whitebriar Job Well Done) my 4 1/2 year old Westie. Id seen the amazing work Alicia did on his dad Vinnie, when she won BIS previously, so I know she has an eye for the breed. 5 weeks of growth, Alicia certainly had her work cut out for her but wow what a transformation. The result she achieved was out of this world, beautiful work on shoulders, jacket and rear all done by hand, and then one of the most important attributes of a Westie, the head. What can I say, I know people who have had Westies for 20+years and still cant get the head right. The shape, that varminty expression, just the right amount of product not too much off in front of the eyes, perfect amount off the ears. Her Best in Show so well deserved, Alicia stayed true to the breed and the art of hand stripping in fact I could have taken him in the ring the next day. Keep up the amazing work Alicia you nailed it.
