20.01.2022 It’s been a beautiful few days of cool weather and nourishing rain in the garden, and the plants are flowering with such beauty and vitality I feel much revived too.. our bodies are no different to those of the wildlife, trees and flowers; we have to survive through the heat, but there is a measure of space and calm as the rain falls and the sun rays soften So with gratitude in my heart for the gentle weather, I will be out in the patch today and tomorrow, gathering str...awflowers, zinnias, dahlias, yarrow, snapdragons and cosmos I’m also so excited to let you all know that some of these flowers will be available at our market stall this Sunday 26th at the Stirling Market on Druid’s Avenue ! we will be there with our basket press making mulled apple juice, and flower bunches will be available too More details to come, but if you’re around Stirling on Sunday we would love to see you Photo of a springtime gathering of our flowers captured by Maddie of @love_fool_photography . . . . #adelaideflorist #farmersmarket #visitadelaidehills #fieldtovase #plantmagic See more

20.01.2022 From last weekend’s beautiful wedding in the glorious wild weather! It was so lovely getting to create flowers for such a lovely couple, and I was over the moon that one my new (to me) dinnerplate dahlia varieties ‘Under the Sea’ bloomed just at the right moment for Monique’s bouquet Beautiful capture of by @georgykeenphotography

17.01.2022 rambling roses and meadowy grasses . . Always always on the look out for different botanical treasures to add to the flowers I’m putting together; the shapes and movement of which add to the mood of each design here I used green burnet seed pods (sanguisorba) to take the roses, anemones and corncockles from just pretty into something a little more wild and enchanted like most of the flowers I make, closer to a rambling garden than manicured and opulent I feel so lu...cky to get to work with couples who love this style too, and want designs that reflect the changing seasons and diverse landscapes around us next year I have some beautiful weddings I get to create for, and I’m so looking forward to getting to share them here Photo by @acaciarachel . . . #adelaidehillsflorist #fieldtovase #weddingflowersadelaide #underthefloralspell #farmerflorist #plantmagic #wildflowers See more

16.01.2022 It has been a wild week here in the hills, heat and fires and even a moment of hail in 40 degree heat (?!?).. many of you have kindly reached out to check how we fared in the bushfires; it’s so lovely to know how much our community looks out for each other all has been okay for us, we lost some plants to the heat, but no more than that.. and after a day to let the flowers recover, our roadside stall in Piccadilly is open again numbers are limited, but we will be putting some more bunches out tomorrow as well Thinking of everyone who lost their homes and farms in the fires; especially our fellow flower farmer friends who lost so much of their farm and flower crops @stflowersadelaidehills @ Piccadilly, South Australia

10.01.2022 Glowing and magical plants for springtime It always feels somewhat strange to be planting and preparing flowers in autumn for spring, and spring for autumn.. I’m slowly getting better though at planning for the next season while still loving the present blooms in flower, and not getting too fixated on the future Will you be planting for the springtime soon? We have ranunculus going in, along with stock, snapdragons, corncockles, campanula, scabiosa, anemones, calendula,... tulips and nigella. Our foxgloves will be on their second year so we will get some flowers from them too.. what are your favourite spring flowers? I’d love some more ideas for planting . . . #farmerflorist #fieldtovase #hedgewitch #ranunculus #foxgloves #fairygarden See more

08.01.2022 high harvest season It’s one of my favourite times of year, the garden abundant with flowers, weeds, butterflies and the scent of the late summer sun ripening the apples With the dahlias, lisianthus and zinnias at their best, this Friday 28th we will be holding another morning where you can come and visit us to pick your own flowers from our garden All the details for anyone who is interested in finding out more can be found through the link in our profile thank you... to everyone who came by last week to gather flowers- it was so lovely having you all visit . . . #farmerflorist #visitadelaidehills #fieldtovase #lammas #dahlias #plantmagic #hawthorn #adelaidehillsflorist See more

01.01.2022 Out in the rows of flowers, pondering whether to open up the patch this week for you to come by and harvest your own from the late summer abundance I will guide you in techniques for picking and conditioning flowers and foliage, and we can also chat all things gardening, flowers, veggies and herbs ! . Let me know if there is any interest, I’d love to have you!.. I’m thinking about Thursday morning at this stage (P.s .. just to add, and with gentleness for myself for n...ot keeping a ‘perfect’ garden, I also wanted to say that this offering is not for you if you’re hoping to see immaculate rows of flowers as far as the eye can see.. our patch is very much a rambling, working field with fallow rows, weeds and a hodgepodge of irrigation and equipment here and there.. its very real and not for everyone, and that’s okay.. ) . . #farmerflorist #adelaidehills #fieldtovase #plantmagic #lammas #harvestseason #visitadelaidehills @ The Rose and Radish See more
