23.01.2022 Working at the fun day with the cops this morning. The police play NRL against the primary school kids from quite a few different local schools. The kids love it. The Liverpool West Rotary Club supplyed the BBQ and did a fantastic job as there are many mouths to feed. Our club Liverpool Greenway Club supplies the fruit which is donated by one of our members Tony Scarfone, thank you Tony. The sausages are donated by The Liverpool Catholic Club, thank ...you Liverpool Catholic Club. There were volunteers that help our Police in the stations and they are a blessing. Well done to everyone involved, it is always a good day and a pleasure to see cops and kids having a good time together. 22.01.2022 The COVID-19 pandemic has been tough on us all - and our wonderful health workers have been at the frontline. But Liverpool's crafty community has mobilised to make their lives easier by making hundreds of headbands for Liverpool Hospital staff to help prevent the stinging ears that follow the many hours of work wearing surgical masks. The beautiful headbands are designed with buttons at the sides, providing a simple anchor on which to fasten the mask elastic. If you want to help out, just email June Young via [email protected]. And if you're not able to provide materials, Liverpool Greenway Rotary will provide them for you.

20.01.2022 Cooking again today at Harry Hunts. Lots of yummy meals and deserts for our disadvantaged people. Plus the overseas students as well that do not qualify for government funding. We support the Shining Stars Charity who deliver to the homeless in our area. Today we had Sybra Hunt, Noel Dumbrell, June and Ken Young, Margaret Favelle and Janice Harle cooking under the watchful eye of Harry. It is very rewarding and a pleasure to work together for the community.

11.01.2022 On Tuesday we got together to cook meals for those people who are not on jobkeeper or job start. They are in Universities or the communities all over a wide circle of areas. Members from Greenway Rotary Club, June Young, Janice Harle and Natalie Bellette. June's wonderful husband Ken and her son Kenny, always put up their hands to help. Zenny from Quota plus a lovely lady from the Women's Auxiliary. We met at Harry Hunts Hotel and worked with Harry and his wife Sybra cooking meals for those in need. A huge thank you to the people that are helping by donating ingredients to Harry so he can continue to do this amazing work for those in need. Such a generous act of kindness and caring.

11.01.2022 Such a fantastic day

11.01.2022 Owen handing over the cheque to Anthony Carroll on the 1/7/2019. The Rotary Club of Liverpool Greenway held a appreciation dinner at the Liverpool Catholic Club to raise some money for the SES volunteers. The Liverpool SES depot has just moved to a new location and we wanted them to use the funds for something they can get some enjoyment out of. Maybe a BBQ, a new fridge, TV or anything they may need. This group of men worked extremely hard at the time of the hail storms in the surrounding areas of Liverpool. Work is still on going I believe. Anthony is very dedicated to his volunteering role and to his community. Thank you to all the SES workers involved.

09.01.2022 On the 1st of January 2020, the fires in the South Coast of NSW were raging. Thousands of people were being evacuated from their homes. Harry Hunt (director of... Hunts Hotel Liverpool) knew that something was needed to help these people. He quickly decided to offer free of charge accommodation. By allocating 20 hotel rooms for the upcoming week. We used social media to spread the message, with the generous help of our good friend Matt Cross from Sydney Hotels and Attractions. The Facebook post was so successful, we ended up extending the offer to 30 hotel rooms. In total, we accommodated 130 guests along with their pets. The news had then spread through Liverpool. The Rotary Club of Liverpool Greenway, QUOTA Liverpool and individuals of the Liverpool community organised a delivery of food, toiletries and over 100 boxes of water to the hotel. We received numerous amounts of phone calls from the general public offering their help. Throughout the evacuates stay, generous donations of food including meat, sandwiches and pizza were enjoyed. Therefore, Hunts Hotel Liverpool must compliment the Liverpool community for helping us make Liverpool a home for these families during their time of need. A huge thank you to you all. We would also like to acknowledge the friendships we made along the way. The guests had shared their stories and tears to the team at Hunts. Many thought they would be sleeping on the beach or in their cars. Families were asked to leave their husbands who stayed to help fight the fires. They all did not know if they would have a home to go back to. Fortunately, we did not have any families staying who lost their homes. However, many of their neighbors lost their homes and even their lives. From all the team here at Hunts Hotel Liverpool, we would like to thank Harry Hunt for his generosity. Our team couldn’t be prouder to work for such a kind hearted man. #nswbushfire #southcoastbushfires #australia #nswrfs #morethanfire #Firefightasutralia #NSWRFS

05.01.2022 Natalia and her friend Ema enjoying a bit of down time from assessments at Liverpool Hospital. We have given then a Koala to keep them company and yesterday they visited Symbio Zoo at Helensburgh, where they saw Koalas and Kangaroos for the first time.

03.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Liverpool Greenway had the pleasure of running the free BBQ on Sunday the 11th August. We were really lucky to have a coffee truck beside us as it was freezing. The Council was opening a newly refurbished Community Hall at Voyager Point. Lovely area and a very good children's park. It's always nice for the Councillors and our Mayor to catch up with members of the puplic to discuss any issues they may have. Keep up the good work Liverpool Council.
