21.01.2022 Cocktail of the Month - Lemon Drop Martini Delicious lemon flavoured, sweet and sour drink that is perfect for summer! LEMON SUGAR... 1/2 cup granulated sugar Zest from 1 lemon LEMON DROP MARTINI 1/4 cup quality vodka 1 1/2 tablespoons Cointreau or triple sec 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice 1 1/2 tablespoons simple syrup Ice Lemon sugar, for glass rim DIRECTIONS MAKE LEMON SUGAR Add sugar to a plate then rub the zest into the sugar with your fingers until tinted yellow and fragrant. MAKE MARTINI Moisten the rim of a chilled martini glass with the juiced lemon, turn the glass upside down and twist into the lemon sugar, set aside. Add vodka, Cointreau (or triple sec), lemon juice, simple syrup and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 30 seconds or until very cold. Strain into the prepared martini glass and serve immediately.

01.01.2022 Cocktail of the Month - Mojito The mojito is the epitome of the refreshing cocktail and with each ingredient perfectly selected, it is the ultimate cure to hot weather-induced pangs of thirst! INGREDIENTS ... 60ml Bacardi 1/2 a lime chopped into wedges Handful of mint leaves 15ml sugar syrup 120ml soda water 15ml lime juice Handful of ice METHOD 1. Muddle the lime juice, sugar syrup and mint leaves in a small jug, crushing the mint as you go (you can use the end of a rolling pin for this) 2. Pour mixture into a tall glass and fill with ice 3.
