"I am" affirmations are powerful in directing our perception and thus creating our personal reality. Singing and breathe work activates our vagal nerve which in turn stimulates our parasympathetic nervous system to reduce feelings of anxiety and the cascade of stress.... Singing, dancing, creating, flowing, breathe work, meditation and mindfulness are all ways we can support our own health and that of the people around us. 21.01.2022 Resveratrol a type of natural phenol, and a phytoalexin produced by several plants in response to injury or when the plant is under attack. Sources of resveratrol in food include the skin of grapes, blueberries, raspberries, mulberries, and peanuts. Food for thought... Resveratrol has been found to improve blood sugar levels, protect the heart and reduce cholesterol levels. Interestingly, Resveratrol was found to have antiviral properties. It significantly inhibited MERS-Co...V infection and prolonged cellular survival after virus infection in vitro. Does this mean we should all be devouring these foods like they're going out of fashion? Er no... unfortunately foods alone don't contain quantities sufficient to meet a therapeutic dose. And before you ask... nor does red wine! A little often goes a long way. The Mediterranean Diet, moderation and consuming a variety of colourful foods throughout the days does more for your overall health than simply focusing on one constituent of a food. It's easy to understand why government health officials are becoming concerned about anxiety and depression affecting the population Now is a time for going within, finding quiet, and getting clear on what’s most important to us. While at the same time, releasing our attachments to what we cannot control and surrendering to what is.... Unusual times call for compassion and understanding while we support each other through this pandemic.
