18.01.2022 Our wonderful Drama teacher Miss Kaleigh is heading to Adelaide Fringe next week and she has an invitation for a showing in Sydney before she jets off to the festival! Below is a message from Miss Kaleigh which we wanted to share with you: Hi All!... We getting in touch because thanks to your love and support, Switch Witchetty's Almanac of Everything (our current theatrical venture) is off to Adelaide Fringe! As a little thank you and to give us a chance to perform this version for the first time, we're doing a little low key family and friends performance This Sunday at 11am at Flight Path Theatre. 04.01.2022 We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Ben Hopkin in the US on the weekend. Ben touched the lives of so many of AIPA's acting students who took class in the US with him over the last thirteen years. Ben inspired actors to be and trust themselves, to find the truth in a scene, and to reach deeper to 'be', not just to 'play' a character. He allowed students to explore their craft in a non-judgemental and supportive environment. He didn't assume 'guru' status like oth...er coaches. He was in the room to support and guide. The process was never about himself or his ego, it was all about the actor. Ben was kind, genuine and always fought for equality and what was right. The world has lost an amazing man, coach and friend and we will all be the richer for knowing him and experiencing his amazing gift as a teacher and a friend.
