17.01.2022 Hi Everyone I am so sorry to let you know that Anneliese Riley (Slievemish Irish Setters) passed away suddenly last Tuesday. I am sure some of our followers knew her well as she had been involved in the breed for many years.

13.01.2022 I, Graham Edwards am taking my dogs, Rory and Regis to the Spit Off leash park at the Gold Coast tomorrow, 13/10/2020. I estimate I will be there at about 9am depending on traffic from Ipswich. Anyone who has the time and would like to run their Setters I would love to see you. Cheers, Graham.

09.01.2022 Due to an increase in the number of tick cases we have seen this month, we thought an update on tick paralysis might be of use to our clients. It takes 3 days a...fter a paralysis tick attaches to your pet for symptoms to start to appear. These symptoms include wobbly back legs, change of bark, refusing food and vomiting. It takes only one female paralysis tick to cause severe illness and death in a dog or cat. Treatment of tick paralysis requires a tick antiserum and often days of hospitalisation if pets are to recover. A combination of daily tick searches and an effective preventative product are the best way to reduce the risk of tick paralysis in your pet.

06.01.2022 This comment is written by Graham Edwards. Rory and Regis enjoyed their freedom had a great run along the beach and in the surf and the weather was perfect. But, I was surprised and saddened to see dog feces left lying and not picked up on the path down to the beach and when on the beach I seen bags of the same just left on the concrete pillions under the jetty. As a dog owner I feel privileged to be able to have such an area to take my dogs to but because of the actions of... a few there is the risk that the council will take away that privilege. As a member of a dog club executive I feel it is my responsibility to remind us all of our responsibilities as dog owners, but I am also certain that all of our members do do the right thing. Have a great day everyone enjoy your Setters and keep safe. Graham Edwards. See more

06.01.2022 Hi friends of Setters. I Graham Edwards would like to organize a Christmas get together early in December. I am thinking the Gold Coast Botanical Gardens. But if any one has any other locations I am willing to listen. Before I go ahead I do need support in the organization.... Is any interested in helping me and getting involved. Cheers, Graham.
