23.01.2022 Our nurses and doctors are at the front-line of the fight against coronavirus and there is something small we can do to help and to show our appreciation. Now ...more than ever health staff are choosing to change into and out of their uniforms at work. Unfortunately some of this is due to the abuse they are receiving when out in the community in uniform due to fears of coronavirus transmission. These are our people working to keep us all safe. We must treat our health care workers with respect and kindness. I am calling on those handy at sewing to put together a boomerang bag. By providing a bag for daily uniforms, staff can change at work and when they get home they can drop their whole uniform in the wash with the bag. We will be aiming to provide two bags per health care worker at the Gladstone Hospital and the Mater Hospital. The bag is typically made out of durable medium weight calico. 17.01.2022 Hey ladies check out this easy zipper tutorial. Can be applied to any zipper that needs to go between two layers of fabric. You just need to pretend that the fold is the raw edge of the fabric.

10.01.2022 Various polished bamboo embroidery hoops now in stock. The smallest is an 8cm round up to 22cm round hoop. These hoops can be tightened by screw driver which stops your fabric from slipping and becoming loose. So you get to maintain that drummer tight fabric which helps with your stitch tensions.
