25.01.2022 Christopher Bruce Robinson. Born in Yarram, Christopher spent his early years at Port Albert and was educated at Port Albert primary and Yarram high schools. La...ter, when the family moved to Melbourne, he attended Melbourne High School, where he matriculated in 1970. Christopher maintained a strong connection to Port Albert and for many years he planted native trees at every opportunity and had a special interest in caring for the native flora and fauna around Port Albert. Deeply respecting the Kurnai/Gunai indigenous peoples and their culture, he developed close contact with the elders of the area. This respect for nature and the natural order of things sparked his campaigns with Greenpeace. Christopher worked tirelessly on the front line of numerous campaigns and helped make Greenpeace a globally recognised environmental voice. Christopher was a quiet, determined man, an exceptional navigator and sailing captain who’s passion and great contribution to the environment has been recognised through the renaming of the Old Port Trail, Port Albert to Christopher Robinson Walking Trail. The trail is maintained by the Wellington Shire Council and Parks Victoria. The trail begins at Stockyard Point in Port Albert, marked by signage commemorating the achievements of Christopher. Further on it passes through Nooramunga Marine & Coastal Park, a world class wetland. Declared in 1986, the Parks protect over 58,000 ha of stunning marine and coastal habitat. A fitting tribute to an outstanding man. 24.01.2022 Ok folks, here we go again! The phone will be live from 3pm today. Going forward we will be operating the same hours as last time, 12-7pm Wednesday through Satu...rday. The number to call is 0475 765 677 to place and order amd arrange a pick up time. I will be preppong extra meals tomorrow morning including a duck dish, a soup and a chocolate brownie! 22.01.2022 Went to Port Albert Sunday to have Fish & Chips at the Wharf takeaway,still magnificent as usual and stopped in Yarram and Alberton on the way home to Seaspray and Murals are Stunning - well done to all
