Here are to methods to this delicious madness Slice sweet potato into 0.5cm thick slices then: 1. Steam them for a few minutes and place on a sandwich toaster until crisp. 2. Place in a 180 degree preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. Recommended toppings: Nut butter, jam, banana Avocado, hummus, sauerkraut, dukkah I haven’t tried Vegemite before... but if you’re daring enough, give it a go
15.01.2022 Moroccan spiced veggie loaf If you happen to have these ingredients handy during this isolation period then give this recipe a go! (If not definitely save it for later). Recipe... In a large bowl mix together 1.5 cups of teff flour, 1/3 cup of sunflower seeds, 2 TBSP sesame seeds, 2 TBSP flaxseeds, 2 TBSP psyllium husk or almond meal, 2 tsp baking powder and 3 tsp moroccan seasoning (I used coriander, cumin, paprika, turmeric, garlic, onion & sea salt). In a seperate bowl mix together 3 eggs, 1 grated carrot, 1 grated zucchini, 1/4 cup of water & 1/4 cup of olive oil. Then add to the dry ingredients. Place mixture in a lined loaf pan and bake in a 160 degree FF preheated oven for 1 hour. Let it cool before eating. served with avocado, sauerkraut & dukkah. See more

08.01.2022 Look who paid us a visit today Did you know that the QPS has an amazing group of unsworn liaison officers who represent a number of different cultures across the state. Police Liaison Officers (PLO's) operate as a wonderful resource for police working with diverse communities and cultures, improving relationships, communication, and partnerships. ... In South Brisbane we have PLO's that liase with Asian communities including Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese communities. We have a liaison officer working with Indian cultures, liaison officers for African and Muslim communities, indigenous liaison officers and officers from the pacific islands. They do a remarkable job balancing between very different cultures including their role within the police service. Recently the south side PLO's commenced a health and well-being pilot program and they have partnered up with our community to get their activities underway. For 12 weeks the PLO's will be doing three sessions a week in our community fitness space. Good luck to all of those participating and welcome to The Shed!
