22.01.2022 Huge respect for Indra Nooyi. A visionary who had the strength of character to navigate Pepsi through challenging times and ultimately achieve a positive outcome. #Pepsi #IndraNooyi

19.01.2022 Why are some of the world's biggest brands failing to stand out right now? We would love to hear your thoughts on this.#covidshopper #covidbrands #covidadvertising #adagencies https://www.theshoppercollective.com//the-covid-19-adverti

19.01.2022 If Uber Eats adds convenience to in-home meals, then whats the point of offering a speedy in-restaurant dining solution? I dont see the point. Is this merely an effort to shake off more margin from the restaurant? #fastfood #ubereats #diningexperience

17.01.2022 What a great idea. Pity the retail price will make it cost-prohibitive for most Australian beer drinkers. It will achieve some penetration on a sixer, via its novelty appeal, but low frequency of purchase. A high RRP, which is higher than some good craft beers, makes me wonder how far the goodwill will stretch?

16.01.2022 Just a reminder to register for our upcoming webinar taking place at 11h00 AEST tomorrow. #covidshopper #covidbrands #newretail #shoppermarketing #shopperresearch

14.01.2022 I decided to give JOE & THE JUICE another go in the Sydney CBD (first time in a year). I was charged $4.60 for a regular flat white, which I personally find on the top-end of a regular coffee. I rationalised this by having my coffee in, versus take-away. After a short wait, my name gets called out and a single-use coffee cup awaits me at the counter. I explain to the counter assistant that I requested my coffee to have here. The response was we serve all our coffees in take...away cups. So you charge me a premium to have the privilege of having a coffee in your coffee shop in a takeaway cup? This is not standard policy as I have frequently visited the North Sydney branch of Joe&TheJuice and coffee is served in a cup, as expected. I am against the irresponsible use of single-use coffee cops, and usually have a reusable cup in my bag when I plan to pick up a take-away coffee. To serve all coffees this way is ridiculous, and is adding to a mounting problem, rather than positively trying to change behaviour. Read my earlier post on the positive change that 7-Eleven is bringing about with incentives for customers to bring their own reusable cups. Joe&TheJuice Sydney fails on many fronts in terms of customer experience. A total disregard for an increasing consumer requirement to move away from single-use coffee cups, and then being charged a premium for an over-priced and ordinary coffee. Lastly inconsistent quality and customer experience across stores. In the North Sydney branch, I find the staff friendly and welcoming and the coffee is of a significantly better quality. With so many choices in the city when it comes to quality coffee shops, this place is definitely not on par. What a great pity. #oceanplastic #sydneycoffeeshops #CX #singleusecoffeecups

14.01.2022 We are super excited to announce our achievements at last nights Shop Association Marketing at Retail Awards. Our close collaboration with our dear friend, Jason Pollard and his team at The Public Design Group and a courageous client in Bendigo Bank, we achieved gold for retail design and gold for environmental stewardship. This is a result of trusted partnerships and a client who embraces true innovation through human-centred design. #shopanz #publicdesigngroup #bendigobank #insightstoaction

12.01.2022 Just like Pitt Street Mall on Boxing Day

12.01.2022 Its not a retail apocalypse but more a retail rationalisation. Out with the stale old retail models and in with the new customer-obsessed approach.

11.01.2022 This is huge! Hopefully, Qantas can lead the way for the whole industry to look at reducing their waste. #qantas #landfill

09.01.2022 Phygital retail geared to young shoppers. #Schuh #millennialshoppers #storeofthefuture

08.01.2022 This is clever marketing. Good for 7-Eleven's positioning and also good for driving trial for 7-Eleven's bean-to-cup coffee offering. #7-eleven #singleusecoffeecups #reusablecups

07.01.2022 Good luck with that? Learn from Masters! You are entering a market which is Bunnings-obsessed. Ask Richard Branson what became of Virgin Cola? Just one disaster from an otherwise genius marketer. #Marketforces

06.01.2022 @mydivababy CEO. Not a good idea to take a defensive stance and try and be perceived as the victim. Just front up and apologise for the oversight. People are more likely to forgive and forget.

05.01.2022 Interesting developments in the fulfilment of online orders.

04.01.2022 The roadhouse is coming back. A perfect out-of-home dining solution right now. #covidshopper #newretail #retailinnovation

03.01.2022 No plastic! Sounds good.

02.01.2022 Great to see so much innovation looking at how we can reduce our plastic waste #plasticshopper #oceanplastic #reusablecoffeecups

01.01.2022 Return to the old days. I Like it.
