21.01.2022 The Show Club has made the heartbreaking but necessary decision to postpone our show for August 2020 ... We will be back to rehearsals as soon as it’s safe to do so, to finish the amazing show we have already started & we can’t wait to share it with you all! We would like to thank our wonderful 2020 cast (which will be announced on our return) for their love, support & dedication already this year... The Show Club fam bam are an incredible bunch of people & Monday’s will no...t be the same without seeing you all Thank you to everyone who has supported The Show Club since it began, it would not be possible without you & we look forward to seeing you all again at The Albert Hall when our next show is up & running Keep safe everyone, look after each other & be kind... Our Master of Ceremonies Rick Marton... The Show Club is incredibly proud to have Rick back on stage in 2019! He’s hosted hundreds of events across Australia and New Zealand, but none allow him to be as open and raw as a Show Club audience!... He’s an advisor to business owners and company boards, he’s celebrating 25 years in business and as a Rotarian he loves seeing community come together. From the moment he won Launceston's Hottest Man title right here at The Albert Hall he was convinced that a sense of humour gets you much further than muscle or a chiselled jaw line. Since hosting the last Show Club he’s pushed the limits of insanity to deliver the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in the Cataract Gorge, right before he lost his musical theatre virginity playing Rico in Encore’s Strictly Ballroom. As his 40th birthday also passed this year, he’s doing his very best to not be a dirty old man but, we’ll let you judge for yourself the he starts the night off suave. No promises from there. Having just graduated, during his time at Launceston Church Grammar School Matt found a passion for both singing and dancing. With a strong interest in musical theatre, in years 11 and 12 he appeared in two musicals, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and All Shook Up, ...where he played supporting roles, of The Baker and Dean Hyde, respectively. After high school, Matt has performed in two Encore shows, being Strictly Ballroom and We Will Rock You.
