23.01.2022 Oh, how we love discovering a new creative space! When we came across hot new Melbourne venue @chapel1885, we knew we had to share it with you all. Ch...apel1885, opened up in Sackville St Collingwood in January and is formerly a church designed in Gothic Revival style. In the space, exposed brick walls with a stunning timber ceiling handcrafted by 19th century shipbuilders combine with large arched windows that filled the interior with light, while intricately painted murals and statement chandeliers add the perfect finishing touch. Earlier in the year a talented group of local wedding vendors worked together to bring the venue to life and showcase the unique bones of this divine chapel. 22.01.2022 So the first email we received from Ada & Shaun was a straight up hit of serotonin, and it went a little something like this: 'For some reason I thought it mig...ht be a good idea to practice writing a Haiku right here, bear with me: Young love old souls, Counting memories in years Thirteen lucky thirteen A short overview "Love hard, fight the good fight, and always avoid being hangry" - "yeah sounds like us" - Shaun' As creatives, receiving an email like this was like winning the lottery and so we instantly knew we'd be lucky to be around two people like Ada & Shaun! And we were not not wrong. There were Just Married high fives, spontaneous jigs (or as Ada puts it - smiling-hi-fiving-squid-arm vibes) and even a good chill sesh at Mexican Restaurant Hotel Jesus in Collingwood. This celebration encompassed everything that is awesome about this pair, and we couldn't be more grateful to them for being so open to sharing themselves and their lives with us. 21.01.2022 The colour goodness of Jamila & Marks day continues. Their palette was inspired by one Jamila’s favourite art pieces. Featuring peach, pinks, emerald and rust. 08.01.2022 We had the pleasure of planning and styling this beautiful shoot for @ishizuka_australia to launch their new micro weddings and events offering. Ishizuka offer the traditional Kaiseki Japanese dining experience where courses are curated, crafted and served over several hours. This basement diner is designed to celebrate the Kaiseki tradition, but with a uniquely Australian take. The interior is bold, unusual, controversial, thought provoking yet in complete balance.
