17.01.2022 SONOS PLAYBAR - $995 (Due March 2013) Sonos HiFi sound for TV with nine amplified speakers. Right from the start we have been impressed with the ability and performance of Sonos' musical streaming technology and its wireless speakers, whether it's the Connect, or Connect:AMP, Play:5, Play:3 or the SUB. But, what if you're looking for some Sonos gear that can stream your favourite MOG or Spotify playlist and deliver surround sound straight from the TV or Projector?... Well, you're in luck, because the Sonos Playbar has arrived, packing all of Sonos' streaming capabilities you know and love in a soundbar form factor. Inside, there are nine speakers - six midrange and three tweeters, which are positioned under the mesh to provide a wide sound stage and angled so that the audio spread is uniform no matter where you position the Playbar. You can opt for above the TV, below it, on the wall or on a table in front of the television and it will detect the differing positions you put it in using an accelerometer and automatically recalibrate the speakers accordingly.
