23.01.2022 This weekend I'm heading over to Melbourne to hang our with Phambam at Phambamfest! This is a pretty amazing event raising funds for mental health, something that is incredibly close and important to me. We all know some one, if not our selves who are struggling at some point in their life, its a HUGE subject and people need as much support as possible. 12.01.2022 PLOT TWIST I’m over the moon to announce the big changes that have been in the works here at TSG recently. I’m saying goodbye to the Hindley Street location we’ve all come to love, but I’m super excited about my new purpose built guitar making workshop.... That’s right, I’ll be focussing on making guitars by hand and no longer doing repairs (Do not fear, all current work will be completed, but after the move, I won’t be taking on new repair work.) I want to send a HUGE heartfelt thank you to every single one of you over the years who helped grow TSG into more than just a guitar shop; it’s a place uniting people together, creating lifelong friendships - not only for me, but also between all of you. What an incredible journey it’s been so far! I’m incredibly humbled by the support I’ve received and am grateful every day for the opportunities this has given me to create the guitars of both all of yours yours and my dreams I can’t wait to let you know the new location sooooon but here’s a sneaky clue, it’s actually exactly where I wanted to be three years ago when I moved into the Hindley Street address. 09.01.2022 A stainless steel refret is possibly the single best upgrade you can do for your multi scale instrument! (If it isn’t already stainless) Naturally the winds of a string act in a saw-like motion when they rub on a slanted fret and this wears them down much quicker. Not only shortening the life, but also making them feel much rougher, so not as fun to play!... 07.01.2022 Another fresh Stainless steel refret finished off on this @gibsonguitar SG today! We almost exclusively do stainless refrets here, for a lot of reasons. More info on that to come, I might even do some sneaky videos explaining the advantages and disadvantages to both stainless and nickel silver AND a few myths about the horrors of stainless.

07.01.2022 Adelaide is such a rad city and I am SO DAMN PROUD to be part of such an amazing scene. Lewis Brideson and Dave Court have done it again with this wicked production with just a little taste of the giant amount of talent Adelaide has to offer. This mural is literally metres from my shop, which is next door to two of my favourite venues, which is surrounded by more rad venues, which constantly support local and and international artists. We are literally all squashed together ...in a big hot mess of fun here! Music is amazing. Art is amazing. Adelaide is amazing. This city just keeps getting better, something that has me bloody pumped for the future. FUCK YEAH ADELAIDE!

Running a small business means it’s often hard to find time to spend with your loved ones and enjoying time for your self, but for the rest of the year we’re going to try and put some more effort towards that. 01.01.2022 Lots of people always ask how we cut fret slots, this is how! To think I used to cut every multi scale board by hand. This is now a 5 minute job, not an hour long job! A simple (but accurate) jig, a radial arm saw my Father in law gave me and some fret slotting blades works beautifully and consistently I think I might start posting more pics and vids of how I do things if I get the time. What do ya’ll want to see?
