16.01.2022 BREAKING: The Education Minister has approved the closure of Tantanoola Primary School. The decision comes after a review committee completed an extensive review of present and future requirements of primary education in the area, with a majority voting to close the school. The Education Department suspended the school service for 2020 due to no students being enrolled at the start of the year.... In a statement issued today by Minister John Gardner, families residing in Tantanoola will be able to access education in Millicent, which has two government primary schools, one government secondary school and an independent catholic school.

07.01.2022 STOLEN RANGER: Millicent Police are investigating the theft of a vehicle from a Millicent business last night. At about 6pm on Thursday July 16, a white 2018 Ford Ranger was stolen from a business address on Glenn Street, Millicent. The car had been left unlocked and the keys in the ignition.... The vehicle was later recovered at another location in Millicent about 9.15pm. Investigations are continuing. Anyone who saw anyone near the vehicle or has any information about the theft is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au Millicent Police wish to issue a timely warning to residents to not make it easy for opportunistic thieves and to always secure your vehicle.

04.01.2022 Following a decision to consult the community at the July meeting, Wattle Range Council is seeking feedback on the preferred siting of a proposed new principal office. Four (4) designated site options have been proposed with the community being given a 5th option to suggest an alternative location. A community survey will be available from Tuesday....
