It is always a privilege to come across African Wild Dogs (also known as Painted Wolfs) in the wild. The African Wild Dog is the smallest of Africans carnivores, but is also the most endangered due to human conflict. They are an amazing and effective predator, but are regularly targeted by rural communities with vicious snares in an attempt to protect their stock. This image was captured near Imbali Safari Lodge in the greater Kruger region, I will never get sick of seeing these beautiful creatures. Another amazing safari experience in South Africa. See more
