20.01.2022 DECORATING VINTAGE RUSTIC While it may not be for everyone, this is (currently) my favourite decorating style. For me it’s a way of getting back to basics and an opportunity to mix and match rough and tough with soft and natural. For example...in the girls bedroom they have a large thick jute rug with a smaller soft sheepskin rug on the edge. Think rough timber (pallets are good), wooden crates, heavy cast iron and chunky wicker along with raw linens and unbleached cottons.The trick is to then balance with softer aspects, such as the sheepskin rug and a nice soft woolen throw. Perfect for Winter!

12.01.2022 Sorry for not letting everyone (via Facebook anyway) know that we were going to be shut today. Ausnet were doing maintenance works in Cudgewa and the power was off pretty much all day. I know the netball/footy kids were wanting their lollies, however I did not think it was worth opening for 3/4 of an hour...and I have a headache...so please forgive me guys.

06.01.2022 Yes, The Speckled Hen is now closed. We would like to thank everyone for their support over the last 5 years. We will re-open for a short time in Spring to clear stock and honour Gift Vouchers. This will coincide with the Cudgewa Spring Market & Christmas Market.

06.01.2022 The Cudgewa Christmas Market will be on Saturday the 5th of December in the hall from 9am. The Speckled Hen will open for 5 days to clear the remainder of our stock. We will open from Thursday the 3rd of December until Monday the 7th of December.

02.01.2022 Stole this from a friends Facebook page, but it is fitting considering the Cudgewa Christmas Market is coming up on the 5th of December.

01.01.2022 Cudgewa Store has reopened today and will stay open for the next 5 days. Everything to be sold, fixtures and fittings included. There are all the coffee tables and chairs, a kitchen dresser just to name a few. Stock, unless otherwise marked down will have 25% taken off the final price. So come and grab a bargain before we shut for good.
