24.01.2022 To our community of tan loving clients, Due to COVID-19, I have made the decision to close both our Bronte & South Coogee salons until further notice. As a small business owner, I am faced with the economic repercussions of this decision not only to myself but also my valued and much-loved staff members who still need to support themselves and their families financially. Its been a tough decision to make, but the overriding feeling I have is one of social responsibility - t...o my staff, customers and greater community. I cannot offer or encourage a service, which in this current climate, is truly non-essential (never thought Id ever say that about a spray tan). As a community we must work together to reduce the potential exposure to CONVID-19 to ourselves and each other in order to protect our most vulnerable. Its not forever but it is necessary to act now. If this decision upsets you, please reconsider venting your frustrations in my direction as it only makes a very difficult time even harder - it is not my intention to upset anyone. To our clients who have already cancelled their upcoming appointments, thank you for your foresight! Please stay safe and well and I will keep you updated as the situation unfolds. 02.01.2022 Sorry that Im Sorry but not sorry... I was smiling when it opened, and I smiled when it closed #RIPBRONTESALON. The other week we made lemonade with our lemon and danced like no one was watching . Covid was the nail in the coffin for the Bronte Salon and a bittersweet farewell. Structurally the shop itself is poo (massive water damage), parking was a punish and I just couldnt replicate the magical vibe of our South Coogee Salon because my heart just wasnt in it. I shed... many a tear in the first year of its opening (3 Salons, 2 Kids, 1 Husband, Too Much) and had to pass the baton to my beautiful, kind-hearted, hilarious salon manager Alyssa and gorgeous team while I went in search for my happy place - I am grateful to say I found it (1 Salon, 2 kids, 1 husband, 1 horse, 1 rabbit, 6 chickens, 3 ducks, 6 ducklings, I cant get enough) . Thank you to all our Bronte Salon customers, we have loved meeting you and being of service to you over the past couple of years.
