25.01.2022 Lean beef balls with sweet potato and Broccolini. Quick and super easy recipe. INGREDIENTS:... 200g Extra lean beef mince 200g Sweet potato 100g Broccolini Season with salt, pepper, garlic salt, onion powder (Parsley optional). METHOD: Cut sweet potato into chips and season. Pre heat oven to about 200-220 degrees and cook for approx. 30 mins. Season beef mince and form into small sized balls. In a pre heated non stick pan, cook until slightly pink on the inside. HIIT:... - Higher calories burnt after workout (EPOC) - Requires longer time to recover - Shorter in time to complete - Much more intense - Improves athletic performance - Higher risk of injury LISS: - Burns calories during exercise - Less intense - Requires little recovery time - Takes longer to complete - Can be more enjoyable when outdoors - Can be boring if on a stationary machine - Less risk of injury For beginners I’d recommend you stick to Low intensity cardio. It is safer, less risk of injury and easier to perform. Both styles can burn calories but if you combine LISS with resistance training and calorie/macro counting, you can use LISS cardio as a tool to burn more calories without the need to recover compared to HIIT. When you are dehydrated your body reduces the capacity to deliver oxygen to your muscles and reduces the ability to prevent you from overheating, which negatively affects your exercise performance.... It is important to hydrate before your workout and continue to drink water during and after your workouts as well. Try to drink 400-600mL of water 1-2 hours before you workout and then a further 200-500mL 15-30 minutes before your workout. This will just ensure you are hydrated to maximise your performance.
