19.01.2022 So my beautiful mumma, who hates the cold even more than me, is participating in the CEO Sleepout this year. I am so incredibly proud of her for putting her hand up for this. As we all know, mum loves going camping - with her minus 10 sleeping bag and fancy-pants camper complete with a heater and of course, Gussy. This experience will be way out of her comfort zone. ... If you are in the position to donate, please follow the link below. If not, show your support by sending her a message, commenting on this post or following her on instagram @ Rapt_in_gifts. https://www.ceosleepout.org.au/fundrai/robynroberts/sydney

18.01.2022 Currently I feel like I'm sitting in the backseat of a car, it's hurtling along the highway but there is no driver. And as much as I try I can't quite get in the drivers seat to stop it. Between a cancer diagnosis, a pandemic and now a bilateral mastectomy, there are a lot of things outside of my control at the moment. So I am turning my focus to the things I know I can improve on - my health. A healthy person wants a million things. A sick person wants just one thing: to... be well again - Confucious No truer words have ever been said. And my goodness does it feel incredible to be working my way back to wellness again; armed with more knowledge, perspective and experience than most 30 year olds could ever try to comprehend We all know you only get one life, but we forget you only get one vessel to travel through that life in: your body. It’s precious and it’s fragile but it’s also BEAUTIFUL and INCREDIBLE; it allows you to do absolutely anything you want if you treat and nourish it right. Despite what Instagram likes to make you believe, Health isn’t a shredded body and a low calorie diet. It’s an understanding of what your body needs in terms of food, water, movement, sleep, social life and mental state and and giving it exactly that. We’re all a bit different, but we’re all the same species, so eat some extra green veggies and a good source of protein tomorrow, your body will love you for it, I promise. Happy Friday team

14.01.2022 Hi all, I'm Jacquie, a small business owner in our town of Cowra. 2020 has been tough for numerous reasons for a number of businesses and I just wanted to do a shout out to our many and varied business owners in town. ... I, like many other businesses in town, don't have a "financial backer" but instead pour what I earn back into my business. You could most definitely say that my clients are building the business with me. As we start to think about Christmas and buying gifts, food, drinks and everything that comes with the holiday season, take a red hot minute to think about your friends - where they work, what businesses they may own and what you can do to support them. It doesn't take much to make a small business owner to do a little happy dance - share a post of theirs, recommend them to someone, comment on their social media posts, buy a small gift from each business your friends work in or own. Or in that lead up to Christmas, when life is just getting hectic, take 5 mins out of your morning to drop them a coffee, a bottle of water and a snack or drop dinner off to them so they don't have to cook that night. They are definitely working their tails off this year, trying to make the end of 2020 better than the start/middle. I know first hand the difference it can make to a business if we channel our energy into supporting each other

10.01.2022 What matters is what you do between New Years and Christmas. Not Christmas and New Years. It’s been a tough year. We’ve had so much time separated from family and friends and so if this was the week to prioritise social connection and interaction, it is this one.... For the rest of the year though, build those routines, that discipline that makes taking a few days off over Christmas, no big deal. Christmas is a time to prioritise family and friends, not fitness. Because when you look back at your life you won't remember working out 5 times a week in December. But you will remember the laughter you had (even if it's on zoom) and the pavlova you ate. Live your life ** Platter provided by The Shared Table and it was beyond delicious!

09.01.2022 You may not always feel strong, but you can always be brave. AGAIN. You may not always feel strong, but you can always be brave. Today’s affirmation

06.01.2022 I love this time of year. I love Christmas holidays. I enjoy gift giving, hosting events and seeing the joy it brings to people. I wasn't able to hold a Christmas party this year but just wanted to jump on here and say: Merry Christmas everyone, however that may look this year, whomever you are able to spend it with, or what circumstances you find yourself in after what has been a difficult year for so many.... I wish you joy, love, safety and good health for today, this Christmas and for 2021. For 2021, I simply want my family and friends to be happy, healthy and safe, my mind at peace and life free of drama.

04.01.2022 A bit of Wednesday arvo fun Ps I'm a gemini

01.01.2022 This is me. Running with my beautiful mumma for our Sweaty Saturday session. Was I uncomfortable? Yes Did I push myself? Yes Was it enjoyable? Hell Yes! I am super grateful to be able to workout again.... I have a lot to work on, but I also realise how far I have come. Working out this morning, in a group, with some of my favourite people has made my day! . . I don't think "why me. Why did I get cancer?" - well not often, anyway. Instead, I use it as a learning tool, as encouragement and as a strength I didn't know I had. I have loved 2020 for all the lessons it has taught me. There have been plenty of ups and downs, but I'm definitely on the up. See more
