We help both struggling and gifted students reach their full potential by supplementing the instruction they receive in class and guiding them toward study practices and aides that can help them excel. Our team offers compassionate, motivating assistance to students, and we expect our new hires to do the same. If you have experience tutoring children, pl...ease submit an application. What you will be doing: - Meet students at the school/home/neutral location and go over their homework and/or assignments in the applicable subject area. - Ask students about specific topics or subject areas that are giving them trouble or that warrant further exploration. - Review recent homework assignment and test scores, and work through. problems or questions that the student did not answer correctly. - Employ proven study aides to prepare for upcoming tests and quizzes. - Take notes during tutoring sessions so you can follow up with the student later. - Communicate with parents/guardians about trouble areas or any other issue that requires attention. The successful applicant must have: - A current Working with Children's Check (WWCC). - Must be currently enrolled in an Undergraduate University degree in Australia, preferably educational (primary or secondary teaching). - Able to work after school hours or on weekends. 13.01.2022 6 ways you can help your child prepare for kindergarten Starting BIG school is an exciting time for our children so if you have a little one who is starting this year, here are a few tips and complimentary FREE worksheet to help you child feel prepared and confident going into kindergarten: Teach your child to write their name. Use the write your name resource to practice writing their name.... Letter Recognition. Start with familiarising them with upper case/capital letters. You can do this in the form of coloring in or circling the capital letters. Number recognition and counting from 1-10. Use different object to start counting. Maybe you can count lego or blocks. While doing that use the numbers resource to reach them how to write their numbers. Cutting. Use a child safe scissor and let you child practice. While cutting teach them about shapes and colours too. You can use old magazine or use the cutting resource included to practice cutting and shapes/colours. Fine motor skills. Practice tying your shoe laces. It’s a two-in-one skill set that can benefit you child going into kindergarten. Use the show lace template and follow the instructions. Reading. Run you fingers under the word when you’re reading books with your child or maybe play a game where you need to find things that rhyme with objects in the illustrations. Want these resources? 02.01.2022 I don’t think I’ve ever been so mentally and emotionally challenged yet so motivated and full of love This was my response to someone who asked me how I manage to be a mum to a two year old, have a baby on the way and run my business. And when I say challenged, I mean want to pull my hair out, give up kind of challenge... it’s bloody hard!... Can I hear an Amen This financial quarter was particularly tough because I was so hooked on the fact that I invested in a website that failed in so many ways and caused financial loss that it took away from all the amazing wins: I have a great team I have an amazing out of this world support squad that show up each and every day I met and launched a Parent Literacy workshop with my biz bestie Launched my first team workshop invested back into my business and working on a new upcoming website our students achieve exceptional high results able to support my family while being at home plus I have some extra goodies to share with you all real soon that I’ve worked hard to achieve and complete What more could I want. I feel like a super woman to be honest and couldn’t be happier. Running a biz solo is scary but the beauty in that is that I’ve learnt all there is about running a tutoring business, been equipped with effective tools, acquired knowledge and experience first hand and created success from absolute nothing.
