13.01.2022 Kiera is the mother of these two little superheroes Declan and Connor, brothers whom both have been diagnosed with Leukodystrophy, a group of rare, progressive, metabolic, genetic diseases that affect the brain, spinal cord and often the peripheral nerves. This is their story as told by mum.... Back in 2018 our hearts were broken when we were told our youngest son Declan had Leukodystrophy. He had an mri to rule out a brain tumour but infact gave us the answer to our clumsy boy. We had to start genetic testing which started straight away. Both myself and Robert aswell as Declan got our blood work done and sent away to start the journey to find out what sort of Leukodystrophy he had. Few months past and we got the call, Declan has 4H syndrome-POLR3B. Both me and Robert are carriers so We decided to do genetic testing on our other two kids Connor 8 and daughter Evie-Lee 2. Few months passed and we got another dreaded call. Connor also has 4H syndrome-Leukodystrophy but Evie-Lee was clear. We live day by day and treasure the time we have left with our superheros Thank you to our online sponsors who has helped provide this amazing duo with costumes of their very own . _____________________________________________________ If you would like to help other superheroes like Declan and Connor feel free to visit https://www.supertee.com.au/donate/ to find out more

03.01.2022 Elliot is a little fighter! After being diagnosed with Dyskeratosis Congenita & Aplastic Anaemia, in April of 2017 at only 4 years old, Elliot underwent his first bone marrow transplant which failed. Not giving up however, in December of 2017, Elliot went in for another transplant, this one was thankfully successful. After a long road to recovery filled with many complications, he is now looking forward to finally returning home. Elliot and his family have not been home to Le...ongatha as a family for more than a year, with his mum and dad taking turns in staying with Elliot, while big brother Ashton has also been separated from his parents and brother. Elliots brother has since also been diagnosed with the same condition and himself faces a bone marrow transplant in the future. This family has had their entire world turned upside down with each day filled with the unknown. Brittany Long, our Young Heart from The Heart Project struck up a special friendship with Elliot and his family, and this was her opportunity to create a Heart Project memory for her little friend. When the team from Supertee reached out to Karen Alsop and shared their incredible invention, The Heart Project team immediately started planning a series of special super hero shoots for children across Australia and New Zealand. This is the first! What an ingenious creation, and a lifesaver these SuperTees are for Elliot and his family. To find out more about Super Tee visit: http://www.supertee.com.au/ A big thanks goes out to Seldex Artistic Albums for providing the photo matts for this series. Thanks also for the ongoing support of Adobe Australia and New Zealand, EIZO APAC, Canson Australia, Epson and Wacom ANZ

01.01.2022 Today the staff from Cumberland City Council led by Mayor Steve Christou,, volunteered their time to become sidekicks to little heroes by helping us pack a record number supertees at the new Granville Centre so kids in hospitals around Australia can suit up. Were growing so much that we cannot manage now with out help!! Included in all the packs were the councils very own delivery to the incredible people at The Childrens Hospital at Westmead to give out to the familie...s. Kids no longer need to wear hospital gowns or T-shirts that make it hard to change. All thanks to the kind generosity and loving support from this mayor and his staff who care deeply for sick kids. Because every superhero deserves a costume!
