23.01.2022 Fun session just then in the midst of the chaotic crowds with @s_mccarney Groms flying through the air everywhere but a phenomenal opportunity to practice my side step footy skills

23.01.2022 Thanks for the new board JP Shapes and for the surprise spray Dlovepaint reminds me of a certain liquid type substance I indulged in at Coachella back in 99. Yewww

22.01.2022 Nothing quite beats that feeling of head butting the sand bank, sandpapering ya Mellon half off and creasing ya new board in 2 on a hollow frothy one. Happy Friday legoinds

21.01.2022 The rumours are true: If you can get shacked for 3 seconds or more out Bondi then you’ve mastered one of the hardest skills in the world

17.01.2022 How to recover from a Layback {with my good mate and surfboard shaper JP Shapes } One way to recover from a frontside layback is to use the momentum of the turn to bring your board back underneath you. When you push your tail away from your body, it pushes the front part of your board back to you so you can use that, plus the fact that the board is "lower" or "beneath" you on the wave to come out of it. The 2nd way is to have your fins catch. After you want to come up from th...e layback push down on your back foot. Your fins will catch and it will push your board underneath you. You see guys do this to recover from airs a lot. You can get really bent out of shape laying way back in the whitewater and still manage to suck it back in. It also really helps if you can get a bit of a push up from the whitewater on your back. The 3rd way is to Relax, go with it and be really flexible. Then plant your back foot on the grip and suck it back under yourself. Use your legs to pull the board back under you, do a sit up, let the wave push you to your feet try and like bodysurf on your but, if there’s foam let it help stand you back up to your feet. @bennygodfrey_films

12.01.2022 Seriously psyched for some more backside barrels this summer Growing up at Kirra Point i learnt to backside tube ride quick smart and i found that the single most important thing about backside tuberiding is your shoulder (the shoulder closest to the wave, that is. Not the one that attaches your arm to the rail). Your shoulder is everything. Think of a good pig-dog as a really good stretch across your chest. Open that thing up. Your shoulders square you to the wave. I...f you’re square to the wave, you have control. Control is everything in the tube. You can change your speed, your direction and deal with what the tube’s got to throw at you. If you’re squared up, you’re automatically aimed at making the tube. Your board will point to the exit of the tube. If you’re square you’re not getting sucked up the face or falling down into the trough. I try to ride smaller boards when I’m in backside barrels as it gives you more board control. How about that? You got a lil fever for backside toob riding now?

08.01.2022 Solid 1 month with @connalyons living in Bondi with me. Safe to say we got a bit done. We found some new waves, surfed some novelty ones that hardly ever break and he only just got back to QLD before becoming my full-time Nanny forever trapped in "The Bondi Bubble". Thanks for the fun times, working super hard in the water as always and for sampling every ice cream parlor in Bondi. And of course thanks for teaching the groms to do the dishes only a true general possesses such skills
