22.01.2022 Ever seen a baby pelican before? Meet Rob. He hatched from an egg found abandoned at a dam on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, and a rescue organisation raised hi...m. 19.01.2022 This is not a graphic pic, nor a gorey one,... though one to make you think where your food comes from. Can you guess what this is? This is in Oregon, and each ...crate has a calf in it, that was taken from their mourning, crying mother, one hour after they were born. Their mother had enough time, to clean up the birth, lick and intially bond with them, before they were taken away to live in these boxes, waiting to die in about six weeks. Here they will stay unable to move to make their "meat" tender until they become veal steaks. At the very least, give up veal. It's a really great start. Do something, anything. See more

12.01.2022 Why is it important for Australian's to be able to buy chocolate bilbies at Easter that support bilby conservation? It provides important, reliable funding fo...r the vital work that is ensuring we continue to share our wonderful country with these endangered animals for generations to come. Pink Lady chocolates in particular donate a percentage of sales to support our organisation, meaning they are supporting our captive breeding programs and projects to secure Austalia's last wild bilby populations. 07.01.2022 Hello all! I’d love some help on naming this lovely bird. He or she was rehomed to us yesterday and is about 6 months old. The Lovely elderly people who’ve had him nearly two months kept the cage outdoors (they made the enclosure and we will upgrade it) and the butcher birds harassed him constantly so he’s very fearful. I’ve trimmed his wings and started the process of handling him. (Successfully peeled two potatoes with him on my shoulder this evening). So far the names I’ve contemplated are green things like: Apple, seaweed, shamrock etc.. hit me with your suggestions!!! :)
