16.01.2022 If you want to improve your appearance, you need to focus on improving your performance. This goes way further than just improving your performance to look better. It’s about improving how to love yourself, the effort you put out into the world and the energy you give to people. Don’t obsess over the results, they will come!... Set goals that set your god damn soul on fire, start setting performance based goals and build habits to support them! It’s definitely no secret that most of us do have aesthetic goals yes, however if you put all your time and energy about how much you think your aesthetic isn’t changing. Analysing, criticising and judging who we are in the mirror isn’t going to get us any closer. 08.01.2022 WHY BOOTY BANDS ALONE AREN’T GOING TO BUILD YOU THE BOOTY OF YOUR DREAMS Booty bands or resistance bands have been portrayed on social media as this booty building amazing holy grail tool and unfortunately I’m sorry to anyone whose bubble I’m about to burst that’s not the case. Don’t get me wrong booty bands play a great role in our Glute building process however it is not the be all and end all to the perfect peach! Most likely the people who are promoting that booty bands... built my glutes are trying to sell you their own booty bands (sorry but it’s true) How to use booty bands in your lower body sessions: As a warm up/activation method. Using bands can help wake up your glutes to be able to work hard during your session To help increase resistance. Sometimes I get my clients to use a band with things such as hip thrusts and squats to either increase intensity, practice form or be able to actually connect the glutes while doing the movement. As a ‘Finisher’. These are a great way to finish off your session. Doing a little booty burner is like the dessert after you’ve just done a resistance session. If you want to increase the size of your glutes then add some RESISTANCE/WEIGHT!! Your booty will thank you later!
08.01.2022 1 year on and check the gains on my client @angeleneward Ange just completed @hiit_kawana challenge and check the difference. Ange and I have been working extremely hard to build some lean muscle and you can really see the difference. The best part about it all is that we focused on performance based goals and crushed them.... 07.01.2022 10 THINGS I LEARNT IN 2020 1. We as humans are so so resilient and have learnt how to adapt. 2. That physically seeing people is necessary for connection (I do not miss Zoom calls) 3. To trust the process and to enjoy the journey... 4. Motivating yourself can be hard, determination is the thing that will help you through 5. It’s okay to have some off days, find what’s making you down and try and work through it not just pretend it’s not happening 6. Have some damn fun and don’t be serious all the time 7. Veggies are in fact good for you 8. That I do have ENOUGH shoes (even if I am still learning this one) 9. Life is there to be lived 10. The ocean soothes my soul What have you learnt this year?
