21.01.2022 Since January I have been running most days. I stretch when I wake up, do 25 squats when I clean my teeth in the morning and up on toes 25 times in evening. I eat fresh from the garden, avoid processed food, don't smoke or drink alcohol and the last wild woman I chased was bag snatcher in Barcelona. I feel great and thought I was doing ok for a 75 yo wrinkly. So when HBF offered a free health check I booked in this morning. So apparently I am obese and have hypertension. I may have undiagnosed type two diabetes or be at high risk of developing it and I have a 1 in 7 chance of having a heart attack or stroke within the next five years. Now I'm thinking of stopping exercising and eating cos it's obiously not good for me.

18.01.2022 I think I'm becoming the neighbourhood dog whisperer. I run/walk everyday and today three dogs dragged their owners over to introduce them to me. Then a lady called out and asked if I could help her catch her dog as he was refusing to go to her and she had to pick her son up. I looked at the wayward pooch, called , 'here' and he ran straight up for me to grab his collar. I don't get it? I'm a cat person really. Maybe it's the smell of burning fat.

10.01.2022 Don't know why everyone is after my money? Cos I haven't got any. Here's another one. Got a letter from Registry Australia P/l to say business name was up for renewal. Only $99 or $199 for one or three years. You get a renewal notice from ASIC anyway for $37 or $87. I wonder how many people just renew through them thinking it's ASIC.

08.01.2022 I spent most of yesterday making this little key component of the secret men's business I've been working on in the shed. Lying in bed last night I thought yes it does the job but I was not happy with it. I knew I could do better. So this morning I got up and I did and it was. This took me back to my school years and I remembered many of my reports had the words 'he could do better' on them which I took to mean I was pretty useless and acted accordingly. In hindsight perhaps I should have taken it to mean that I just hadn't reached my full potential and it should have motivated me to try harder. So here I am 70 years on trying harder and getting better in spite of my poor reports. Perhaps I'm just a late bloomer which is better than a late boomer.
