16.01.2022 New Carpet is an investment in your home here's some helpful hints when shopping around for carpet. 1. Get a few measure and quotes to reduce the chance of being over quoted. 2. Always ask how many broadloom meters you have been quoted on that way you will know what to ask for if your looking at other products in another stores. 3. If you are carpeting stairs make sure the carpet you choose is rated for stair use.... 4. Ask what brand, thickness and density of underlay will be used. Good underlay will extend the life of your new carpet. 5. If you like a particular carpet note the name of the range, name of the colour and ask who manufactures it, this will help other stores put in a competitive quote as carpet distributors have different names for their products. 8. Take samples home overnight or ask the company to bring samples out to your home, colours always look different in the light of your home than they do in the store. Carpet will also look different in the morning light apposed to the afternoon/ evening light. 7. QUALITY MATTERS.
