The Sydney Collective is pledging $40,000 to the Rural Fire Service, Australian Red Cross and World Wildlife Fund. We are also opening our doors at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel to ...help displaced families who have lost their homes in the fires and are rolling out a variety of fundraising initiatives across our group to help these charities continue their work through this long and hot summer. We will be undergoing a million-dollar transformation of 8 and 10 East Circular Quay to create a casual fine dining experience which will promote Australias homegrown fresh seafood and produce under the culinary guidance of celebrated chef and long time friend Sean Connolly. The concept, named Whalebridge will be the nint...h venue to join the Sydney Collective family once we take over in March 2021. Our CEO Fraser Short has commented: Among the sadness of Covid 19 it has been a real honor to be awarded the site against what Im told was the whos who of hospitality operators. Id like to commend all of the tenderers for their efforts and we look forward to opening our doors next year

After a 10 year friendship with owners Tom & Emma Lane, our founder Fraser, his wife Allyson Short and business partner Arthur Laundy will take the helm of the community led Byron Bay icon, The Farm later this year. Ally and I are passionate about sustainable food sources and healthy living. We are really excited about sharing with, and learning from the amazing farming communi...ty that has been spawned by this magical place the Lanes have created, says Fraser. Famous for its Grow, Feed, Educate and Give Back ethos, The Farm is stretched over 80 acres, with a working farm and variety of micro-businesses all sharing the one common goal of bringing paddock to plate.
