20.01.2022 Hi Everyone. I hope you and your families are all well and coping in these very trying times. I just want to thank everyone for there support over the past 3 and half years. We have been so appreciative of our fabulous makers that have made the shop such a great place and for all of the locals that come in frequently. We will be able to keep the doors open due to the generosity of my very kind and thoughtful landlord who has extended us a life line for the for see able future. As you can imagine sales have all but dried up as all of the tourists have left the state so we are now surviving on local support. 19.01.2022 Hi all, Joshua from The Tasmanian Artisan Shop here. We have unfortunately come to the point where we must close as of today. Dont worry, we arent going anywhere and we will open up once things level out again. But at the moment, having our doors open at the moment is, disheartening for us as well as barely paying to keep the lights on. However, most importantly to me is my Father Ron whom many of you have met and know. I wont go into details but he is of higher risk for s...uch things like this COVID-19 and the thought of losing him over a few sales (or any) is unthinkable, especially when it can be avoided. There is a silver lining if you are still after some fantastic work from local artists however. We will still be pursuing online sales. Currently we will process them when we receive an order. We will call you when we collect your items from the shop and process the sale over the phone via credit card. Please see our previous post for the information on postage and delivery. We will get to you during the daytime and please bare with us as this is uncharted territory for us and a few kinks may need to be worked out. 14.01.2022 Hello to all of our friends and supporters. I havnt posted for a while so thought it time to let you know we have not vanished. We had planned to re-open in May but I had a health scare in the fact that I suffered a major heart attack some weeks ago so this has put our plans back a bit. The good news is that we are reopening the shop on the 1st of August. 06.01.2022 Hi all. In an attempt to cope wit the current times, we are going to be attempting something new. We will be posting pictures of our stock as below (more will come over the days). If you live in the Launceston area we will deliver items to your door. Orders under $50 will incur a $5 delivery fee, any order of $50 or more we will deliver for free. We will also offer smaller items for delivery Australia wide for a $10 flat postage fee (tracking included). For large packages we ...will work out shipping on an as needed basis. Once organised we will handle the transaction over the phone and deliver it to your door or mail out as soon as we can. If you see items you like you like or have queries, email us at [email protected] as calls can be missed and Facebook messaging has always caused us trouble. Our open hours are also changing to reflect the current times. We will now be open from 11-3pm Weekdays, 11-2pm. Saturdays, Closed Sundays. We will be monitoring for orders during our open hours, after hours we will get back to you as soon as possible the next day.
