06.06.2022 Phew. Finally found time to do an update on The Thread Teller. I have been a lot like Peter Rabbit, hopping all over the place with many baskets full with wonderful treats for your precious ones. The Peta Bunnies have been a real hit and are hopping out the door quicker than I can make them. And I had so much fun sourcing the fabrics for the pant/beanie combo, see if you can spot the theme I had in mind. Oh and I must mention the new colourful headbands for just $10.00 eac...h. Origins Market has been abuzz, (pardon the pun, anyone that has been there will know what I am referring too) with so many new creative peeps joining us, the late-night trading on Friday and Saturday nights, and we are open 7 days over the school holidays. With the change in temperature, I have been pondering what to release for these cooler days ahead of us. so excited to be launching a new range in about two weeks ... make sure you stay posted! Until then, bee busy, a clue as to why Origins is abuzz See more

It’s been a very exciting and busy time for 'The Thread Teller' over the last couple weeks. My heart still jumps a beat or two when I hear the lovely compliments and often a story about the lucky little child who is about to receive one of my gorgeous creations. I feel so extremely fortunate to be a part of your special one’s journey in this way. Many blessings to you all

01.01.2022 Why The Thread Teller... For many years I have worked in the shadows for some very well recognized artists and designers. From a very young age my older sister, my four younger brothers and I were taught the gift of needle work, knitting and sewing from our grandmother, mother and Aunty. I still clearly remember our home in NZ being filled with the smell of preserves, the hum of one of the first TV s in the neighborhood and us six kids all the lounge room with some form of c...raft work in progress. Such a beautiful memory that hasn't faded over time... thankfully In my twenties I went to work for a lady that could see my potential... but I couldn't. She worked me so hard and trusted me so much that I started to see what I could do and grew to love what my hands were creating. I have always been a dreamer but not much of a doer (spell check on that last word) Finally I am doing.... These hands, that are aging and showing signs of sun damage, are finally making my dreams come true. As I pick up each piece of fabric and dream, yes I'm still a dreamer, I wonder what story these THREADS will TELL, will they love them as much as I love putting them together, will they become hand me downs for more wonderful adventures, will they feel the sense of fun from some of the crazy prints and combinations that I'm feeling brave enough to do now? My dream is becoming 'The Thread Teller'
