22.01.2022 What is SEO // I know some of you are still reading this and thinking "OMG WTF" is SEO. Put simply SEO is making little tweaks to your website and social media content to make sure it gets found by search engines like Google.... A simple way to think about it is: Website + SEO = more website visitors = more sales = more dollars for your business. Many business owners are still not that tapped in to how important SEO is for business, but trust me in 2020 where your business appears in search rankings can literally make or break your business. Taking the time each day to write down three things you are grateful for can keep you motivated and your vibes high for attracting clients and prosperity into your business.... The trick to gratitude is to not only think it - but to take the time to appreciate and notice what it actually feels like in your body to have wonderful and good things in your life. 05.01.2022 How to: Break up with imposter syndrome (for good) // Imagine going to work each day feeling like a fraud, like some totally, incompetent nincompoop just waiting to be found out. Like all your past achievements were fluked, and could never be pulled off again. Like you somehow "Steven Bradburied" your way to success. For folks experiencing the imposter phenomenon or imposter syndrome as it's often called, this feeling can be a very real experience. And it's super common among... high achieving professionals (and yup, that includes business owners too). Chronically feeling like a faker in their own profession, those affected by imposter syndrome, wrongly believe other people have an inflated sense of their abilities or achievements. Imposter syndrome along with it's sidekick mate - perfectionism - are like two peas in pod. And these sneaky business sabotages will totally mess with your marketing mindset ( and even be exacerbated by social media use) if not kept under wraps. Nodding in agreement as you read this? Then you are probably wondering, how on earth do you overcome imposter syndrome once you know you have it? 1. First of all - it's not about you Sorry to be a little in your face friends - but remember it's not about you boo. Your business exists to meet your customer's needs - focus on them. Focus on your customer and being good at customer service. 2. Forget being "The Expert" You don't need to know everything, just enough to help those you are serving. It's completely ok to learn as you go, or say "I don't know, let me find out and get back to you". 3. Be a contributor Have fun and focus on being a contributor. See yourself simply as making a contribution to the conversation your industry is having. 4. Know your zone of genius We all have our own unique and authentic set of skills, talents and abilities. Reflect on what your zone of genius is, outsource the tasks that are outside your zone of genius. 5. Kick the comparisons Keeping an eye out on competitors can keep you up to date with industry trends; stalking them religiously on social media will break your mind and spirit. Save your time and energy by staying in your own lane. #businessmindset
