25.01.2022 Close of 2020 What a year to reflect on! From what I’ve heard in clinic, many of us have changed jobs, living situations, intimate partnerships, and been challenged to reflect on the systems and values by which we live. My heart goes out to all those who continue to muster their grit and courage to face these difficulties. You are amazing! It’s certainly been a massive growth and stretch year in my life, the last 6 months centered around the creation of my dream clinic ...practice, THE TONIC Acupuncture Clinic in Collingwood. It’s shaping up beautifully, and we’ll be ready with more rooms and excellent practitioners in the new year. Today is my last day at Contagious Enthusiasm in Hampton, who have supported me generously over this past wild and transitional year! Thank you team C.E! THE TONIC will take a summer pause from this Saturday afternoon, and reopen January 12th 2021 (3 weeks). Nature is the ultimate TONIC (said the herbalist ) ... In Chinese Medicine, we are nature obsessed. We aim to live in harmony with the seasons: we play and express in summer, we retreat and get cozy in winter. We use eco-based language to describe many systems in the body - you’ve probably heard us talk about your digestive fire for example. Our connectedness with nature isn’t a poetic and philosophical aspiration, it’s common sense. Humanity has evolved in response to the natural world.
