24.01.2022 Boss mode Hair up Coffee in hand Notebook open .... . No time like a lock down to do some soul searching. I did two workouts in one day 1 hour Pilates this morning and a HIIT session this afternoon . . 23.01.2022 The Monday grind. I love Monday’s. They feel fresh. New. Inspired. I love getting thing done on Mondays to set the tune for the rest of the week. . However sometimes they don’t go to plan and that’s okay. Today I didn’t even get to write my to do list let alone complete it! Mum mode was with a very needy toddler. We had a great day colouring in, running in puddles and talking with people on FaceTime. . I got to move my body, eat delicious healthy food, and spend time with... my tiny human my heart is full and the productivity can wait until tomorrow. . 17.01.2022 I don’t run often. I’m not the kind of person who wakes up and thinks, ‘you know what would be a great way to start the morning? A run!’ Nope, not me. What I do, do, is support the people in my life that DO like to run! Em told me she was wanting to do a triathlon soon, so when I heard she was in town this weekend, instead of driving to get a coffee I suggested we RUN to get a coffee! 16.01.2022 Toddlering toddlers. This mornings workout was supposed to be a 60min Pilates workout on zoom. 3 seconds into the call Ellie decided the workout was not part of her morning plan and that it was not going to happen *insert tantrum* So I sat. I watched as everyone else did the workout then about 5 min before the end she decided that she wanted to play on her own and didn’t need me So I managed a 20min upper body and abs sessions. Something is better than nothing,... and upper body being my weakest area I may even be feeling this one tomorrow! for the cute innocent face that would nevvvverrrr prevent me from workout out #homeworkouts #workoutoutwithtoddlers #changeofplans #pt #pilates #zoomworkouts

02.01.2022 Rest day. Planned? No. Needed? Yes! I woke up with stiff neck and shoulders, not bad but I know my body well enough to know that if I trained today it would become worse! If I have a rest day I will be good to go tomorrow So rest day it is

01.01.2022 Are you an early riser? . . After getting up at 4.15am 5 days a week for the past 4 I am truly enjoying my later starts to the morning. It’s amazing how quickly your body and mind adapts to a new routine. I can’t even imagine getting up that early anymore Midmorning workouts are becoming my favourite, sitting and enjoying my coffee before hand, not eating my banana as I drive to the gym .. ahh bliss .... . So somehow in my adult life I’ve gone from a night owl, to an early riser to neither I have no doubt this will change again but for now I am one happy girl #notsleepdeprived . .
