25.01.2022 The video of today's chat with Ann-Catherine Jones, Shelley Brice and Sonia Jones. Terrific stuff and some very positive messages for all travel agents out there. https://vimeo.com/484293343

24.01.2022 From Dec 1st we can double our capacity for events, which means you can now invite 63 of your friends to join you in our event space. All you need now are 63 friends, and a reason to party.

23.01.2022 The Hub saved 2020 for travel writers! It was the perfect venue for screening the virtual ASTW Awards in November. And every month, our Travel Social Club has... hosted drinks for the grounded travel media at this great venue because of its convenient location and facilities (oven, fridge, glassware, plates etc.) Thanks Richard!! 21.01.2022 Thursday 19th is International Men's Health Day. It's no secret that many men deal with issues in an introspective way that can be difficult for those surrounding them to recognise and address. At a challenging time for our industry, host Walter Nand will speak to Pete Rawley, David Reeves and Richard Taylor about some of their personal experiences and lessons learnt along the way. The group will discuss how to:... - recognise the signs of depression or anxiety in those close to you - engage in open and honest conversation, and - places where professional help can be found for those in need. It's an event organised by Walter that also supports Movember and is open to everyone, so come along either to learn more or simply to lend support for men's health. 21.01.2022 Hello! Looking for your help. This week we are launching two surveys, to help the industry better prepare for the eventual rebound. We hope to build a picture that includes where people want to work from, what employers should focus on when they eventually rehire, and so on. Anyone completing these goes into a draw, with prizes including 2 x Google Home Minis, 2 x $50 Visa Vouchers, and $1000 in credits to use at TTIH towards meeting room or office use, or your next event (y...es, transferable if you're out of state) Please complete one or both surveys. The first is for business owners or decision makers, the second for everyone as individuals. Links here, and thanks! Individuals: https://thetravelindustryhub.typeform.com/to/A2INY2yP Business Owners / Sole Traders / Snr Decision Makers: https://thetravelindustryhub.typeform.com/to/rpc2PtP6

19.01.2022 Here's a link to the first part of our survey results. Thanks so much to everyone that helped with this - you've helped create a really interesting look into how we might work in future. 68% of us worry about lack of interaction with others, if working all or mostly from home, and employers are more concerned about bonding and exchange of ideas than they are about managing staff or loss of control. It's about isolation. WFH is not for everyone, but in the early stages of re...covery it may be essential. We should do a webinar with some home based travel agents about how they've mastered it.... https://www.linkedin.com//flexibility-key-travel-businesse

16.01.2022 A terrific day at TTIH yesterday for the Melbourne Cup. Wish you could have been there. For $50 in each we had lunch (Japanese) and platters, drinks, a sweep, and the stragglers left deep into the evening. Sweep winner was David Reeves, with Brett Jardine as runner-up and Christine Gardiner in third :)

15.01.2022 Sydney folks - A reminder that we're hosting The Melbourne Cup at The Travel Industry Hub tomorrow. $50 per ticket includes lunch (from 1.30pm), beverages, entry into the sweep and a guarantee you'll be amongst friends. All races on the big TV, all afternoon. Tickets: https://www.thetravelindustryhub.com/melbournecup... TTIH is COVID-SAFE and we are keeping this event intimate, well within 4sqm minimum spacing guidelines.

11.01.2022 If you've just followed us, welcome! We're a flexible work, meeting and event space for the travel and tourism industry based in Sydney Australia, whose timing of opening has been impeccable around COVID-19. When this period ends, we believe that people and companies in our industry should consider flexible options, free of leases and other commitments, and around meaningful others. Our website is www.thetravelindustryhub.com... We're about making connections and supporting each other. We planned many industry events at our space that we're now bringing forward to an online platform, and we hope you can find something useful and relevant to you during this shitty period. For more on upcoming and recorded events, visit our website for a full listing. And please consider joining - it's free to become a Community Member to stay in touch, access unique content and more. From there you can book workspace, meeting rooms and event space when needed. The whole point is that members can now say "I have an office in Sydney", and hopefully other locations later. Cheers

05.01.2022 The recording of yesterday's interview with Webjet's John Guscic is now available on our website. Really interesting, I was intrigued to learn about what happens at a large organisation when emergency capital is needed. All sorts of things were covered, yes including the adverts. Comments and questions were around 80/20 in favour of positive/negative, and all sorts were read out. I hope you find it informative and I'm pleased we did this. ... This brings an end to 'Part Two' of the webinars. Yes, planning to return, but want to change things up a little. Suggestions and comments welcome. Richard

04.01.2022 For those of you in Sydney without plans for the Melbourne Cup.
