25.01.2022 Two of our favorite SE Asian travel destinations, Myanmar and the Philippines, have been included in Forbes' list of potential major tourist destinations in a post-COVID world. Both countries are incredibly diverse and underrated when it comes to tourist attractions and immersion activities apt whether you are traveling solo, as a couple, or as a family unit. Others in the list are Ethiopia, Georgia, Slovenia, Iran, and Tunisia. Dream now, travel later. #travelwithpurpose #traveltolearn #traveltoconnect
14.01.2022 World Oceans Day | June 8 IS YOUR FAVORITE SUSHI SUSTAINABLE? World Oceans Day is a day for us to honor, protect, and conserve the ocean. One fairly easy way to contribute to this cause is by minimizing single plastic use so they don't end up floating in our oceans and consumed by marine life.... Another significant step to help improve our oceans' health is to buy and consume ocean-friendly, sustainably-sourced seafood to help improve fish population left in the sea. Here is a great recommendation guide from the Monterey Bay Aquarium to help you make the right decision when dining and shopping for your favorite seafood: https://www.seafoodwatch.org//mba-seafoodwatch-sushi-guide Make a difference by making responsible seafood choices. #WorldOceansDay #SustainableOcean #ProtectOurHome
07.01.2022 A giant step to protect the endangered pangolins, the world's most trafficked mammal, was recently announced in China. The government upgraded the Chinese pangolins to the highest possible protection status alongside its pandas and tigers. Consequently, pangolin scales are now officially off the Chinese traditional medicine list, where it was prescribed to improve blood circulation and reduce inflammation. Although the demand for pangolin scales for its healing power is high,... it is merely made of keratin which is exactly the same material found in human fingernails and rhino horns. With the demand from Chinese consumers braking to a halt, the large scale illegal trade will hopefully cease, giving populations a chance to recover from decades of black-market trafficking in countries like the Philippines, where the endemic pangolin of Palawan teeters in the brink of extinction. #pangolin #COVID #endangeredspecies #wildlife #wildlifeconservation #china #philippines #chinesemedicine #mosttraffickedmammal #illegaltrafficking #illegaltrade #blackmarket #endangered
