22.01.2022 Last night out past Bourke on the road between Louth and Tilpa it was just me, the Milky Way and the original Trilby Station letterbox. The line on the letterbox is the high watermark from the 1976 flood. www.dgp.co

09.01.2022 Across the Northern Territory, there are over 50 rest stops available to provide motorists a well needed break from driving. Facilities at each stop vary but c...an include toilets, barbeques, seating and rubbish bins. It is recommended when travelling long distances to stop every 2 hours to reduce the possibility of fatigue related accidents. 08.01.2022 The last resort. With all other surface water supplies gone this is the last resort for providing relatively fresh water for domestic use on a station propert...y. A diesel motor is started every few days to drive a pump that then pushes the water through 19 kilometres of 40mm poly pipeline to a storage tank and supplies a homestead and some livestock. Expensive water if you factor in infrastructure costs and the 38 km round trip to start/stop the motor. See more
