Batch Elsies Other Udder NITRO has subbed in for Huge Kahuna Brown (well have it pouring next week). Well have a few spare tables for 5pm and 8pm sessions. 04.01.2022 Tap & Can Announcement Below! ALL SERVING OVER THE BAR THURSDAY AFTERNOON "Oat Cream IPAs & Lactose in beers?"... Question: How do you make an Oat Cream IPA? Insight on the process from the Mountain Culture Brewing Team: "The process of creaming an oat is a long and arduous process. First, you must locate the almost microscopic nipples of the oat and gently milk them with a rhythmic, squeezing motion. Once the oat is milked it enjoys a cigarette whilst we begin the process of hand churning the oat milk into cream. We have to be constantly vigilant that we dont over churn the cream because, lets be honest, no one wants an Oat Butter IPA. Once we have the cream, we just carelessly throw it in the fermenter at any time during the fermentation process as timing really isnt that important in brewing. Some say its actually the combination of balancing a sizable addition of Oats to the malt bill with a time sensitive inclusion of lactose in the boil but these could but thats just hearsay!"
