16.01.2022 If this year has taught us anything, it's that we all need more pics of doggos to get us through. We hope everyone is able to take some time this holiday season to reflect, rest and reset. We'll be doing the same - the University will be closed from 24 December 4 January. If you need any information from us, please consult our website www.newcastle.edu.au or contact us via www.newcastle.edu.au/our-uni/contact and our friendly team will respond after we return.... See you in the New Year! by Professional Psychology alumna, mum of @osito_the_westie/Instagram.
15.01.2022 "Despite all of the challenges that we've had to deal with, the biggest takeaway would be that we're a family." Some of our Ma & Morley Scholars reflect on the strong values and family atmosphere of the Ma & Morley Scholarship program, and how it has supported them through a year like 2020. Applications for the 2021 program close 22 November. Apply now: www.newcastle.edu.au/ma-morley

We are excited to offer these scholarships and actively mentor young Indigenous students through every stage of the modern music business." - Alumnus and BMG Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand, Heath Johns.

04.01.2022 Iconic. On his last working day, we bid farewell to Archivist Dr Edward Bridle (aka The Dapper Gentleman), whose style and status around campus will be missed. "Documenting the past is something that we do for the sake of the future. The future, after all, like the present, is built out of the past. If we want to know where we’re going, we need to know where we came from." - Dr Edward Bridle.
03.01.2022 Treatments for those with brain cancer have shown little progress in the last 30 years, and better outcomes are urgently needed. Over the next five years, thanks to a philanthropic commitment from the Mark Hughes Foundation, a dedicated team at our University will dramatically intensify Australia's brain cancer research efforts.
