23.01.2022 So excited at the prolific flowering of my Kiwi Berry (Actinidia arguta) vine this year. Its still in a pot, but it's in the perfect spot and I've made sure to keep the water up to it and a bit of fertiliser. 20.01.2022 Hi all, its been a while since I/we posted much here - apart from taking a break from a lot of social media, I (Wendy) have moved north of Melbourne, buying my first home With my family on a larger rural block where I can now landscape and grow things to my hearts content! Being in lockdown with the COVID crisis has meant we haven't been able to get to know the locals well yet, but we are contenting ourselves with gradually making this place 'ours' until we can invite frien...ds and family to celebrations where we can share our new home! We have made some progress, planting over 18 trees and a veggie patch that has already provided many salads and as you can see here, my broccoli is growing very nicely indeed! I will keep sharing my garden transformations, permaculture tips & knowledge, home cooking, fermenting and tips on thrifty living as I'm sure Kate will do also! 07.01.2022 We finally harvested the remaining broad beans to make way for more Summer crops! I have made lots of dip, roasted some with garlic and spices to eat like nuts, added them to stir-fries, put some aside for next years crop and frozen some!
