09.01.2022 Here at The Urban Reefer we're mindful of the environmental impact related to packaging, selling and distributing coral. In our hobby the excess use of plastic is pretty common - take, for example, the individual bagging of coral/zoas. How often are you left with a floor covered with empty fish bags after receiving your shipment? Isn’t it ironic considering how mindful we are of reef and coral bleaching events.... We're doing our small part towards minimising this impact and have designed our own coral tags. These tags include the name of each zoa to help you identify what's in the bag while also minimising the use of fish bags. By taking this approach, we're able to safely group almost 8 different zoas in a single bag - double wrapping to safeguard against leaks equates to two bags instead of ten. Our tags are also made out of ABS material and are therefore recyclable. We're constantly striving to improve our business while also minimising our environmental impact.
